Well well well, if it isn't miss Always Changes Her Mind.

So, about a year ago, Derek and I set about turning the basement into a studio. We did a really great job, I was super happy with how it all turned out. And then I felt...aggravated. I wanted something bigger. Grander. More studio-esque. We talked about creating false windows a LOT. I'm glad we didn't.

Right as we were getting ready to start looking for spaces (As my long suffering husband grumbled his way through all of my financial back tracking and money not well spent), we were struck with a family emergency that put the studio on the back burner for a really long time.

In January of this year, we felt like things had calmed down enough to make two super huge pushes:

  1. Be a vendor at a wedding expo
  2. Rent a studio for real

We signed up for the Bridal Expo in St Louis in January, and that happens, at time of writing, in ten days. April 13th.

We've done a few shoots this year...not terribly many, as I have been focused on building the expo and looking for studio spaces. You would be surprised at how much time both things take, honestly. Or maybe I'm just that thorough/riddled with self doubt that I devote crushing amounts of time to quadruple thinking when what I should really do is just...make a fucking decision already.

But.

I just signed my very first, really real studio lease. I am leasing a place at the Historic Lemp Brewery Complex, and I am so so SO excited. This is the culmination of things I've wanted for years, it looks just the way I want it to, I don't know hw else to talk about it other than swearing with excitement all the time.

THERE SHE IS!!!

She is gorgeous.

I am so excited to start doing shoots in my fabulous, wonderful space!
